Jo Malone adds a Filipino twist to their latest line of colognes
Joanne Lesley Malone or Jo Malone is a UK-based fragrance designer who started in the fragrance industry as a florist. From her interest in flowers, she decided to start her own fragrance company. Soon, the brand Jo Malone started to expand and gain popularity among the rich and famous.
In a recent launch at the Manila Peninsula, Jo Malone introduced their newest scent yet. What makes it interesting is the Filipino touch they have added to it.

The English Oak Collection is created through of washed oak wood chips that are roasted at high temperature that hints a smokey-sweet scent. The ingredients are what makes the line of perfume stand out. The English Oak and Hazelnut is a mixture of hazelnuts with cedar wood, English oak, and amber to name a few.
The English Oak & Redcurrant, on the other hand, is bold and fresh. It contains rhubarb white musk and red currant, again to name some.
If you’re wondering what’s the Filipino twist? It’s none other than elemi or pili nut to the locals. They’ve added some in to spice up their English Oak collection. Who knew pili nut could be so fragrant?
The English Oak collection will be available in stores starting September 2017.
