A brand that started as a line of minaudieres has now evolved into a complete lifestyle brand. Launched in 2006 by fashion model Tina Maristela-Ocampo, Celestina is one of the Filipino brands that are making waves abroad. Through the years, their beautiful bags that are carefully handcrafted by Filipino artisans have caught the attention of Hollywood celebrities like Drew Barrymore, Sandra Bullock and customers from the luxury sector. Aside from this, Celestina has also attracted international media as it has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Women’s Wear Daily and Elle. Celestina’s exquisite minaudiere evening bags are made using artisanal techniques and exotic materials only found in the country.


In 2007, Celestina added jewelry and eyewear to their line. For these, they used materials unique to the Philippines such as mother of pearl, coconut and shagreen. By 2008, they have also added shawls, handbags, and scarves. In 2009, they launched Celestina HOME. Celestina is available across the globe in luxury retailers such as Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Moda Operandi and Lane Crawford.

Celestina is a brand that combines the elegance of refinement and functionality. The way that they utilize different skins, stones and metals in their bags is admirable. The combinations of rare skins and eye-catching colors will certainly make you want to have your own. Yes, a Celestina bag is a luxury. But it is not the kind that screams. It quietly goes along and keeps itself at a certain level of exclusivity. A certain mystery that makes you want to acquire it even more. These are the kind of bags that are timeless. Ones that will last for ages. The kind that you can pass down to your children and grandchildren.


Celestina is run by Tina Maristela-Ocampo and her husband. They also own retail chains The Black Shop and i2i Eyewear.
