  • Living and working in Manila can be both an enriching and frightening experience. While the rich culture and diversity of people can offer an excitement, it can also be frustrating especially when you  consistently navigate the infamous Manila traffic that, sometimes, decreases work productivity, adding up the unpredictable weather in this country. Thankfully, there are some apps that were developed to lessen our stress when it comes to these, help us increase productivity, and battle the unexpected while stationed in Metro Manila.

    • MMDA and Waze App – The Metropolitan Development Authority or MMDA serves as the regulating office in the traffic and road management of Metro Manila thoroughfares. The MMDA app serves as a general traffic indicator and displays major roads in Manila and the severity of traffic in these areas. On the other hand, Waze, meanwhile, uses GPS traffic and feedback from other users to give a more on-demand, as-it-happens traffic situation in Manila. Since it functions as a social media platform for users, Waze gives up-to-date traffic advisories, hazard notices, road accidents reports and even recommendations for alternative routes.     • Project Noah – Project N.O.A.H. or the National Operational Assessment of Hazards is the brainchild of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in coordination with PAGASA, the Philippine weather bureau. This app is useful for tracking weather outlook anywhere in the Philippines, flood map and rain gauges which will prepare you for the brutal rainy season in the country.
