Ask anyone from Italy and they’ll tell you that while there is Italian food, it’s more regional than national. Tuscany, a region in Italy famous for its local produce and meat, is where some of the best Italian dishes come from… and Balducci Ristorante is the best place to get authentic Tuscan cuisine in BGC.
Balducci has yet to be matched in its 10 years of existence thanks to their emphasis in authenticity. From the restaurant’s brick façade to how your meals typically go, it’s Tuscan all the way.
All meals at Balducci start with foccacia bread served with butter, liver pate, or tomato salsa. Choose from their extensive Tuscan menu with dishes served fresh from the kitchen.
One of their best dishes is the Carre’ d’ Agnello alla Romana (P900), a serving of grilled lamb chops with a mint sauce, a light balsamic vinaigrette, or rosemary sauce.
Another dish worthy of any Tuscan dinner table is the Filetto di manzo con fegato d’oca (P1,850): a delicious serving of Certified Angus Beef tenderloin with truffle sauce embedded with pan-fried foie gras, served with fresh spinach and asparagus.
A fitting end to your meal at Balducci is with their signature Panna cotta (P310), a serving of their famous Italian cream custard topped with walnuts and honey, raspberries, blueberries, fresh mangos, or a cold chocolate sauce.
Balducci Ristorante is under renovation as of December 31, 2016, and there still haven’t been any information as to when it will be back on business.
