    However, if you’re looking to sample the region’s rich cuisine without having to make the trip – you can always drop by Victorino’s in Quezon City. This restaurant brings a taste of Ilocandia to the palates of endearing diners in the Metro without the trip.

    The restaurant evokes a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that will make you feel at home. It is styled with antiques that definitely adds to the experience of dining there. It’s as if you’re transported to Ilocos whenever you go through the doors of the restaurant.

    Kick-off your meal with their Poqui-Poqui (Php 195). This dish is a combination of crushed grilled eggplant, tomatoes, beaten egg and onion that are sautéed together. This dish is best enjoyed with a plate of warm rice!

    Up next, the Bagnet (Php 475) is something that you should try when at Victorino’s. Bagnet is one of Ilocos’ most known dishes and one that you shouldn’t miss out on. Victorino’s makes theirs with a special crips that that definitely makes it addictive!

    In all, a visit to Victorino’s will surely transport you all the way to Ilocos without having to journey far! Located in Quezon City, the restaurant is accessible to those who want a taste of Ilocos but don’t want to leave the Metro.

    • From Cubao, head north towards New York Ave., then take the exit towards the EDSA N Service Road. Make a left onto the EDSA S Service Road then make a right after Mercury Drug Kamuning. Turn right onto 11th Jamboree.
    • Nearest landmarks: Clues Learning Center, Juan Carlo The Caterer Inc., and Manokoloco.
