  • Sigekiya Ramen in Alabang Serves Authentic Japanese Ramen at Its Finest
  • There is no denying that the ramen craze is all over the metro, and for those who are looking for more restaurants where they can enjoy the famous Japanese food, here’s one restaurant to add to your long list of to-go-to places.

Sigekiya Ramen is a restaurant in Alabang, Muntinlupa that serves nothing but authentic ramen. It was first established and opened in Yokohama, Japan in 2010 and was franchised in the Philippines a few years later.

Due to its roots, there is no doubt that diners would get a taste of everything the Japanese have loved for years without having to book a flight to Japan!

Sigekiya’s interior is inspired by the Japanese restaurant aesthetic.

Everything–from their soup to their noodles–are well thought of and made from scratch to complement with the taste and the texture of one another. The base broth of their ramen is made with seasoned boiled pork chasu meat.

They also make sure that their ramen would still be distinct with those served from other ramen houses by adding secret ingredients that were made only for Sigekiya. Their noodles are also freshly made at the restaurant every day. Their thick, straight noodles were used for tsukemen and sigekiya ramen, while the thinner ones are for their miso ramen and sigekiya light ramen.

Their signature ramen, Sigekiya ramen (Php 310, small; Php 360, regular; Php 400, medium)

Sigekiya’s must-try, Sigekiya Ramen (Php 310, small; Php 360, regular; Php 400, medium), is the restaurant’s own take on shoyu ramen. What makes this ramen a crowd-favorite is the unique taste brought by the grilled chasu. Sigekiya’s ramen is usually hot but customers may always request the chef to reduce the spiciness of their ramen if they’re not so into the spicy.

Their Ebi tempura (Php 210, 3 pieces / Php 320, 6 pieces) goes well with their ramen

Something good to try with their famous ramen is their Ebi tempura, which is available as a 3-piece (Php 210) or a 6-piece (Php 320). Aside from it, some of the other dishes diners may order alongside their choice of soup are the following: Gyoza (Php 100/3 pcs, Php 145/5 pcs), Okonomiyaki (Php 150), and Korokke (Php 100).
