  • Located at Shangri-La Plaza in Ortigas, AKIRA is a sushi and teppanyaki restaurant named after the late Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa. The restaurant has a laid-back atmosphere, delighting both visual and gastronomical needs.

    One of this restaurant’s attractions is the large iron plate where customers can watch the chefs as they create art out of their dishes. The chefs prepare each dish meticulously, aiming to achieve perfection in every detail, just as the Japanese do.

    The restaurant serve best quality Japanese wagyu in the premium A3 and A4 grades. They have classic Japanese food such as tonkatsu, ramen, sushi, sashimi, tempura. Japanese liquors are also available.

    Akira has branches at Robinsons Magnolia (Quezon City) and Alphaland City Club (Makati).
