  • La Grotta Cucina Italiana: Legaspi Village’s Hidden Italy
  • Updated as of September 2019.

Let this humble restaurant in Legaspi Village take you to Southern Italy. La Grotta Cucina Italiana is led by their Italian Chef for a full-service concept dining experience.

Be greeted by well-mannered servers who will surely treat you the way they do in Italy: casual with a lot of class. Their dimly lit interiors, brick walls, and framed artworks mirror the classical design of Italian restaurants which makes it very welcoming.

For starter, have a simple salad that has the colors of the Italian flag, the Insalata Caprese (Php 490) with an explosive flavorful mix of sliced fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and sweet basil, seasoned with salt and olive oil. The fresh and summery flavors this dish brings will make any day brighter!

Next up would be the Linguine de la Vongole (Php 490) which is a filling plate of seafood pasta seasoned with white wine and the juices from the clams themselves. La Grotta’s salty, tangy vongole pasta is a great dish to remind you of the picturesque beaches south of Italy.

Surrounded by waters, it is no surprise that Italy would whip up great seafood dishes such as their beautifully Grilled Salmon (Php 890). This dish is sided with soft steamed vegetables and a vinaigrette that complements the pink salmon well.

For the main dish, try La Grotta’s hearty serving of braised lamb shank also known as the Stinco al Brasato (Php 1,120) sided with steamed vegetables. Best enjoyed while it’s hot, this dish pulls apart easily with your fork and melts in the mouth!

It is a place for a relaxing glass of wine, a business lunch, a romantic dinner, or a dessert with a cup of espresso. Thinking of holding your next event at an Italian restaurant? La Grotta can be rented out for events and parties as well.
