Relocated on the 1/F of Pergola Mall just this year, Sophia’s Cuisina is a Mediterranean seafood restaurant that has been established for 20 years. It is run by an Australian chef and his Filipina wife. It was originally an Italian restaurant called Picolo Mondo but they added Israeli, Turkish, Greek, and North African cuisines to the menu. Thus, they changed and named it after the owner’s mom – Sophia. The restaurant is small but serves a family-size portion of their dishes.

As much as possible, they only use organic vegetables for their salad. Eighty percent of the meat is imported from Australia and the US. One of their best-sellers is the Arrabiatta (Photo 2) which is topped with olives, tomatoes, salami and sausages. Another is for the health concious, the Vegetarian Pizza (Photo 3). They cook fresh pizza and nothing is frozen. We also recommend the Spaghetti Gamberi (Photo 4) with plenty of shrimp, and the Chicken Kebab with Greek salad, Pitta Bread and Yoghurt (Photo 1).
