  • Pio’s Kitchen in Quezon City: Celebrate Life’s Special Moments with Spanish Favorites
  • Celebrating life’s special moments isn’t always a piece of cake. There’s the pressure of time and precision, the stress in choosing your caterer, and all the whats, hows, and wheres.

Of course, the food should be your number one priority, but when it comes to the venue, a part of you would always love to go for a welcoming place where every guest would ultimately feel at home and cared for. This is exactly how you’ll find Pio’s Kitchen in Quezon City!

Known for being a popular dining spot to sample the best Paella Bagnet, Pio’s Kitchen was established by  Executive Chef Chin Gallegos-Bagis and husband Mon, who is the logistics and marketing director of the restaurant.

The ancestral home where Pio’s Kitchen currently is, now serves as a stronghold of many life’s special occasions and celebrations. It was built in 1956 and was originally the home of Chef Chin’s grandfather.

The place is bright, welcoming, and stunning in its beauty—characteristics that can also be used to describe Chef Chin, the woman behind the famed Pio’s Paella. Walking inside the rustic, mid-century abode, you’ll feel a kind of warmth that can only be experienced inside a home.

There are three different spots inside the house where you can freely lounge around or reserve for your private gatherings. These are Lolo’s Room, Lanai, and Tina’s Room and Under the Lamp Table.

But more than the aesthetics of Pio’s Kitchen, Chef Chin’s sumptuous dishes—inspired by her work, travels, and heirloom recipes—are a vital part of one’s  culinary experience at Pio’s Kitchen.

They pride themselves with Chef Chin’s famous paella selections including Paella Marisco, Paella Negra with seafood and saffron aioli, and her very own signature Paella Bagnet with eggplant chimichurri.

“People think that Pio’s Kitchen is a restaurant but we are actually a home,” said Chef Chin. She continued, “We open our home so when people go here they don’t really feel like they are in a restaurant, they feel like they’re just hanging out in their grandparents’ or a friend’s house and then enjoying good food and good company.”
