The inspiration for Blé came when couple Yiannis and Aysegul Ozden Trifyllis realized that there are many different restaurant themes and concepts in Manila, but real Greek restaurant is rare to find. They started to introduce their heirloom recipes through offering catering services and by joining popular weekend markets in Salcedo and Legaspi Village in Makati. Eventually, the good acceptance of the food led to the opening of what they initially call the “small Blé” in BF Homes, Paranaque last May 2014.

Now, the critically acclaimed restaurant of the south, is now open at Makati hotspot of Poblacion.

One good thing about this restaurant, aside from the authenticity of course, is the fact that almost everything on their menu is grilled and cooked upon ordering. They are not also fan of using microwave oven. They heat everything traditionally, in oven, pan, and pots.

Everything is also made from scratch; no shortcuts, no MSG, no prepared canned or frozen meals. They use real spices and herbs to flavour their food.
