Cat Café Manila in Maginhawa, QC
This café is permanently closed. IT’S A CAT! It’s a cat! – Cat Café Manila all started when Anna Calvo took a cat from a shelter two years ago. From there, together with the experience of having visited a cat café in Japan, she began to be keen on opening a cat café of her own. In partnership with CARA (Compassion and Responsibility for Animals), the café gave around ten stray cats a home in the form of a café, each greeting a new customer with an affectionate purr. To keep everyone’s peace of mind, the cats were vaccinated from disease. If there is a favorite among the cats, it is […]

Casa Verde in Cebu City
If you ever visit Cebu City and ask locals where to eat, the name Casa Verde will most likely come up. The family-owned restaurant, which prides itself on serving home-style American comfort food, is considered a beloved institution by many Cebuanos. Casa Verde has three branches in Cebu, and one recently opened at Quezon City – but it is by no means a fast-food chain. The restaurant, which started as a humble canteen in 2002, cooks meals with as much love and attention as it did back then. All their branches have that welcoming green facade that leads to a cozy diner-style interior. Vintage toys, photos, and other knick-knacks decorate […]

Zark’s Burgers
The first thing people should know about this burger joint is their motto: the greasier, the better. With that in mind, no one should ever mistake it for a healthy establishment. Zark’s Burgers is a popular homegrown joint that serves American comfort food, especially huge, greasy burgers – and no other joint can beat them in freshness, size and taste. What sets Zark’s apart from other places is their constant dedication to innovation and freshness. The patties are all made and grilled from scratch. Aside from the classic cheeseburger and mushroom burger, Zark’s menu contains over-the-top burgers that sound like the toothsome results of some crazy science experiments. A lot of […]

Friuli Trattoria
If Maginhawa Street in Quezon City is something you’ve yet to be familiar with, it’s important to figure out where the crowd goes. Granted that you want to discover restaurant gems of your own when you’re just starting out, the vastness of the crowd is a good gauge of whether a restaurant has a good reputation or not. Friuli Tratorria happens to be one of those places that’s guaranteed to be packed on weekdays and especially weekends, and that’s for good reason. The trattoria is a checkered-tablecloth casual restaurant that serves Italian food in big portions with non-exorbitant price tags, which may be why college students and yuppies frequent it […]

Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant in Quezon City
Finding this restaurant in Quezon City is an adventure your romantic soul will be willing to take. In a quiet nook in Horseshoe Village hides a rustic French-Mediterranean fine dining restaurant. The Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant is secluded, exclusive and perfect for those special occasions with your loved ones. What is now a beautiful place for patrons and guests started as a winery. Back in 2002, owners Klaus and Kitt Schroeder served the clients of their wine importing business with high quality dishes to complement the wines presented. Years later, Lemuria officially opened its gates to the public after being underground for so long. True to its name, Lemuria is a […]

Burger Company Philippines
Burger Company Philippines is not your usual burger joint. Conceptualized by Francis Fabie and Alvin Chun, it’s also a board game hub where you can play Game of Thrones while gorging on a burger or sipping a vanilla milkshake. The interiors, for starters, already scream fun at first sight – metal chairs painted yellow and red and neon post-its and photos all over the walls. The food, too, of course is just as fun and good as the interiors. There are 11 burger choices, and that’s just those under the Angus Beef category. The Striker ‘s Burger (P249 for a single patty) is highly recommended and it’s for good reason. […]

Melo’s
Melo’s is a well-established restaurant in the Philippines that started serving high-quality steaks in 1987. It has branches in Westgate Alabang, Quezon City, Makati and the Fort. Melo’s is notably known to be the one that introduced the Wagyu steak to Filipinos. This restaurant has created a menu that gave a very strong impression to us: it combined steak with foie gras and blue cheese, which tastes heavenly. THe owner of Melo’s is particularly proud of this item.

Located at the 33rd floor of MDC 100 building, 100 Revolving Restaurant is one of the main attractions in Eastwood as it is the only rotary restaurant in the Philippines. It has been tagged as one of the most ideal and romantic places to propose.
