  • The Mind Museum Presents Cafe Scientifique: Saving the Philippine Eagle
  • What’s the current state of the Philippine Eagle in Apayao? The Mind Museum brings Dr. Jayson Ibanez of the Philippine Eagle Foundation for Cafe Scientifique: Saving the Philippine Eagle this July 13, 2019 at The Mind Museum, Taguig City.

The Philippine Eagle is the Philippines’ National Bird that is native to the country’s southern islands. However, they have found a new home in Luzon—particularly in the province of Apayao in the Cordillera Mountains—as part of the efforts to help conserve and protect one of the country’s national symbols.

The Mind Museum brings in biologist and conservationist Dr. Jayson Ibanez of the Philippine Eagle Foundation to share his experiences from his recent expedition to the Philippine Eagle nesting grounds in Apayao. He’ll also talk about the conservation efforts for the Philippine Eagle.

Cafe Scientifique is a movement that aims to bring science closer to people through discussions and conversations.

The event is open for all and is free of charge. However, seats are limited so interested participants are advised to register here.

Also note that admission to Cafe Scientifique does not give you access to The Mind Museum’s galleries.

For more information, you may refer to The Mind Museum’s Official Website or Official Facebook Page. You may also send them an e-mail at programs@themindmuseum.org or call 02-909-6463.
