Banaue is known for many beautiful things that you will not see and experience in other places. Among those things are the magnificent rice terraces, Ifugao culture, and the flourishing craft and artistry.

Situated in Banaue is one hidden trove to all sorts of Bul-ol figures. Patina Artist Gallery is home to Delfin Campol’s wide collection of Bul-ol carved into wood panels, pine tree wood, and stone. The Bul-ol is an Ifugao rice god or guardian associated with good harvests.

If you’re staying at Banaue Hotel and Youth Hostel, don’t forget to check out some of the souvenir stalls in the lobby, where you can see different gifts you can buy as a memento of your whole trip.

After exploring the history and culture of Banaue, drop by House of Ekolife located just below the Banaue Museum. This souvenir center and cafe is your one-stop shop for all Ifugao delicacies, snacks, among other sumptuous food.
Tinawon Rice Cookies
House of Ekolife promotes the livelihood of OFWs through social enterprise, which is why most of the products consist of Ifugao treats. These include Tinawon rice cookies, Ifugao native rice coated polvoron, coffee bars, and the well-known Kabunyan blend Benguet coffee.

Upon arriving in one of the 5 UNESCO World Heritage Site in Banaue, Bangaan Rice Terraces, you will be welcomed by warm greetings from the village locals and little stalls carrying modest souvenirs.

Most of their products are necklaces with carved wood pendant, weaved baskets, ref magnets, and wooden balisong or butterfly knife. Tourists also have a chance to try on the Ifugao’s native attire called Torke (tor-ke) for free.

Batad Rice Terraces and Tappiyah Falls trail

While on the trail to Batad Rice Terraces and Tappiya Falls, have a quick stopover at some of the small souvenir stalls selling various products made by the locals.
