  • Uplifting music, fun fan interactions, and two-hour good vibes worth remembering–all this from Jason Mraz’ concert last May 8.

    It was a night full of bliss and good vibes as American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz serenaded his Manila fans to kick off the Asian leg of his “Good Vibes” concert tour.

    Donning a colorful onesie and a multi-colored guitar, Mraz emerged on stage at the fully-packed Mall of Asia Arena.

    The 41-year-old balladeer’s amazing vocals, which some fans have longed to hear since the release of the hit song “I Won’t Give Up” in 2012, quickly energized the crowd. He has sustained a fun vibe that did not dip all the way to the end.

    Just like what his concert always preaches, Mraz delivered the “Good Vibes” and did not disappoint.

    Mraz’ setlist for the Manila leg perfectly consisted of hit songs from his albums such as “Waiting for My Rocket to Come (2002),” “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things (2008),” “Love Is a Four Letter Word (2012), and “Know (2018).”

    The Grammy-winning singer set the mood right when he first sang “Let’s See What the Night Can Do.”

    He also sang “Livin’ in the Moment,” a medley of “Curbside Prophet” and “Remedy,” “Butterfly,” and “Details in the Fabric.”

    Mraz also surprised the crowd with two song collaborations.

    To complete his song with another Grammy-winning artist Meghan Trainor, Mraz presented Trainor’s look-alike parody puppet whom he called a “Meghan in training.” They both beautifully sang the single titled “More Than Friends.”

    Fans also went wild when Mraz belted out two of the oldie-but-goldie singles like “I’m Yours” and “You and I Both.”

    The second duet he performed onstage was with Filipino singer Renee Dominique. Together, they lifted the mood with their collaborative piece “Could I Love You Any More” and the ever-popular love song, “Lucky.”

    Other songs he performed were “Make It Mine,” “Beautiful Mess,” “Love is Still the Answer,” “93 Million Miles,” “I Won’t Give Up,” “3 Things,” “Might As Well Dance,” and “Have It All.”

    Then, Mraz completed the whole concert scene that gave the fans the so-called “Post-Concert Depression” with a love song from 2014, “Love Someone.”

    Mraz performed most of his songs with the ever-graceful the Raining Jane band.

    Jason Mraz’ concert last May 8 marked the artist’s sixth time in Manila following his visits and shows in 2004, 2006, 2011, 2013 and 2014.
