    Makai Bowls

    Let’s start off to where smoothie bowls were first introduced in the country. When traveling to La Union, one should try the famous Makai Bowls, the first seaside shack in the province to offer healthy smoothie bowls.

    Makai Bowls is inspired by the acai-based smoothies of Hawaii and each serving of their smoothie bowls are made from 100% fruits with no dairy, artificial sweeteners, and ice perfect for vegetarians.

    A must-try is their Amianan (Php 220), a dragon fruit smoothie bowl made from dragon fruit, mango, papaya, banana, and acai juice. Another crowd favorite is their Carille (Php 220), a chocolate smoothie bowl made from banana, peanut butter, cacao, maca, coconut oil, coconut milk, and honey.

    Shaka Cafe

    A stay in the beautiful island of Siargao would not be complete without trying Shaka Cafe’s famous smoothie bowls!

    Shaka is an all-day breakfast cafe that offers healthy food alternatives from the creatively presented smoothie bowls, coffee, tea, and cold-pressed juices to other vegetarian or vegan delights.

    Their healthy bowls of smoothies are perfect for pre and post-surf meal such as their Power Bowl Boom Dia (Php 250), which consists of acai, banana, mango, pineapple, berries, and coconut milk. They also have their signature power bowls like the Cloud 9 Kook, Green Out, and Bakunawa Bowl.

    The Gardens

    The Gardens Brunch Cafe and Social House in Pasig City is a place to be in the metro to get your healthy dose of breakfast and lunch selection while unwinding and socializing with friends. They serve here an array of deliciously healthy food from handcrafted beverages such as juices, smoothies, and premium coffee & tea to detox meals.

    Included in their breakfast menu is the Acai Breakfast Bowl (Php 220) made from the superfood Acai berries, mixed fruits, chia seeds, cacao nibs, virgin coconut oil, desiccated coconut, and nut butter.

    Of course, the famous smoothie bar should have their own smoothie bowl. Jamba Juice’s Energy Bowls are the perfect natural snack for you as each bowl are made from a nutritious blend of fruit, fresh Greek yogurt or soy milk, and topped with fresh banana.
