    Number Coding Feature

Upon plotting a destination, Google Maps will ask you to input your vehicle plate number. The app will then provide route options in accordance with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s (MMDA) number coding scheme.

Google will be working closely with MMDA to keep the feature up-to-date and accurate.

Other than avoiding restricted roads, the app will be able to notify you if there is no choice but to pass a restricted road.

    Navigation Mode for Motorcycles

For the two-wheeler riders, Google Maps has additional features for their current motorcycle navigation mode. The audio will soon cite landmarks rather than road names as well as accurate travel time for a motorcycle.

The motorcycle mode in Google Maps rolled off last year guiding riders through roads inaccessible to cars as well as avoid roads and highways that do not allow two-wheel drive.
