Toyota Motor Philippines launched its newest entry in the crossover SUV segment with the all-new RAV4 last Friday, February 8.

The fifth generation RAV4 features an upgraded and more premium design paired with better performance and capabilities thanks to the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). TNGA utilizes Toyota’s principles and technologies to improve the vehicle’s agility, stability, and visibility.
The all-new RAV4 embodies Toyota’s values from the sporty design to the powerful performance and the superb safety features. The improved SUV promises to deliver only the best driving experience.

Better Handling, Updated Engine
The RAV4’s lowered-center of gravity and high-rigidity body structure are just some of its new features. At the same time, it has a lower beltline, repositioned outer mirrors mounted on the door, and thinner, low-set instrument panel that has sleek horizontal lines flowing into the door panels striving for excellent driving visibility.

The new model is also equipped with a newly developed front and rear suspension for a smoother ride. Its new powerful 2.5L (A25A-FKS) Dynamic Force Engine with Dual VVT-I with VVT-iE (Variable valve timing intelligent system by Electric motor) aims for optimum performance while lessening fuel consumption.
The new engine is paired with a direct shift 8-speed automatic transmission, which features a multi-plate lock-up clutch that provides a wider lock-up range. This allows for smoother and faster shifting and acceleration. The 8-speed also gives the transmission more power and torque.

Strong Sporty Exterior, Refined Spacious Interior
Now with updated features and a major design facelift, the new RAV4 aims to highlight urban adventure at its finest. Styled with a more sporty design, the new model allows the driver to bravely take on exciting roads at any time!
The new RAV4 sports a robust yet luxurious design as well as a sportier facade. In addition, the car also features new alloy wheel designs in all configurations, regardless of whether customers opt for the 17- or 18-inch option.
Interior wise, the vehicle highlights user-friendly features such as the 7-inch multi-information display that can be switched between analog and digital display modes, wireless charger, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat with memory and lumbar support, and inside rearview mirror.
The vehicle is also accessorized with seat heaters, soft-touch dashboard and panels, rear cooler, leather seats, and a panoramic moon roof to complement its luxurious design.

Advanced Safety Features
The new RAV4 boasts safety features that go beyond the Toyota standard such as seven airbags, 8-eye front & rear sensor, back-up camera, anti-lock brake system with emergency brake signal, and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) which completes the promise of delightful driving experience with peace of mind.

The vehicle comes in six standard colors, White Pearl, Red Mica Metallic, Siver Metallic, Gray Metallic, Urban Khaki, and Cyan Metallic. They also have other colors that are available on special order, which approximately will take three months to deliver namely, Super White, Attitude Black, and Dark Blue Mica Metallic.
In addition, the vehicle is available in three variants, LE priced at Php 1,638,000, the XLE priced at Php 1,870,000, and the LTD priced at Php 2,188,000.
Since its debut 25 years ago, the RAV4 has redefined the crossover SUV segment with its augmented features, modern design and amplified performance. Toyota sees the all-new RAV4 enduring the test of time, holding on to its legacy as an off-road vehicle built for urban use.
