  • Palawan Graces Top List for Venue Report and Travel + Leisure this 2018
  • The azure tinge of the skies overlooking like an eagle guarding the island taints the seamless glass-like surface of the waters near El Nido in Palawan. These are just some of what triggers a lone man’s wanderlust, and perhaps what pushes travel networks around the globe to praise Palawan for its sheer beauty and perfection time and time again.

Like the island’s limestone formations as well as its beaches outlined by pure sandy shores, El Nido in Palawan continues to gain recognition and raises the bars high as it graces Venue Report’s top list to explore around the world, as well as Travel + Leisure’s “15 Best Islands in the World”!

The island stands in all its grace alongside Milan in Italy, Namibia in Southern Africa, Faroe Islands of Denmark, Sri Lanka of South Asia, and Oman among the others on the list, who have proven to be the best tourist spots without the staggering crowd to bump into for every step you take.

The recognition comes from Travel + Leisure’s list of Best Islands, released in July of 2018. They came about this through a survey from November 6, 2017 to March 5, 2018. With the help of M&RR who monitored the survey website, readers of Travel + Leisure’s different platforms rated the best islands in the world. In this list, El Nido is seen alongside Waiheke in New Zealand, the glorious Maldives, and the chart-topping Java in Indonesia.

More than El Nido, the islands of Palawan are home to many activities tourists can enjoy best. Scuba Diving, as well as night dives at Bacuit Bay, are courses to take in the island if you would like to witness the underwater cliffs and tunnels, as well as the many sea creatures therein, like the Manta Ray.

For the adventurer who would love the rocky terrains more than the seas, rock adventures at Puerto Princesa can give a rush of adrenaline for those who so desire.

These are just some of the many activities in one of the best islands in the world. Would you love to explore its splendor? Tell us! We would love to hear from you.
