April is finally here! From the Latin aperire meaning “to open”, April is the month of flowers blooming to greet many with a wonderful summertime. This is also one of the hottest months of the year where some students will don their summer uniforms and companies announce summertime events! Here are the events this weekend to start this month:
Borgeous at Cove Manila
Born James Borger, the LA-based Platinum recording artist, and DJ, known as Borgeous and has been in the music industry since 2013. He will perform this Friday at Cove Manila on April 6, 2018. Listen to his newest track, Making Me Feel this week, it’s the perfect summer anthem of the year!

Health and Beauty Expo 2018

Get ready, health and beauty buffs/enthusiasts! The annual Health and Beuty Expo that will be held at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City on April 6 to 8, 2018, 11 am to 9 pm. This one-of-a-kind expo celebrates beauty, health, mental health, wellness, and fitness. Their goal is to establish cause in supporting the community of women and the LGBTQ community.

REP’s Arsenic & Old Lace
Directed by Jamie Wilson, Repertory Philippines (REP) is staging the dark comedy Arsenic and Old Lace all Friday, Saturday, and Sundays of April at Onstage Theater, Greenbelt 1, Makati City. Joseph Kesselring’s Arsenic and Old Lace was a hit on stage and ran for more than one thousand shows both in New York and London. It was popularized through the film of the same name, which starred Cary Grant and was one of the most beloved comedies from Hollywood’s Golden Era.

Waggin’ Tails: Outdoor Pet Expo
Head on over to WAGGIN’ TAILS, a fun-filled festival for dogs & cats at 9th Ave, Bonifacio High Street, this weekend, April 7-8 starting at 11 am! Pledge a paw, adopt a pet, go shopping, join the Pawmazing Race, plus get loads of treats for your furry friends. This will be a good re-start for many BGC cats!

USEC Charity Tennis Tournament
The USEC provides grants local organizations that help Filipino women and children in need. This month, the tennis tournament for charity will be on April 7 at Colegio San Agustin Makati and is co-sponsored by the American Women’s Club of the Philippines and the American Association of the Philippines.
