This year, 14-year old student activist Shibby de Guzman from St. Scholastica’s College Manila was listed as one of the 30 influential teens. De Guzman was previously photographed in a street protest against President Duterte’s drug war, which made rounds on social media. Some criticized her stance on the subject, but the student activist chose to speak out amid these criticisms. She previously responded to one commenter saying “Please do not underestimate the youth. We completely know and understand the injustice we are protesting against.”
