  • A match made in heaven: Baguio Craft x Casa Marcos
  • It was an unusually calm Wednesday night at the lone Casa Marcos left standing (the one in Tomas Morato) until they made a big announcement that’s bound to resonate with beer lovers everywhere.

Imagine these delicious Baguio Craft Brewery beers…

… in here. Or not. Just go to Casa Marcos in Tomas Morato and you can enjoy all those beers with their delicious food.

Ladies and gents, Casa Marcos is now the best place to visit if you’re looking for Baguio Craft Brewery’s best brews.

“THE MASTERMINDS.” They might not like the term, but it’s the best way to describe them as a pair. That’s Chris Ordas, owner of Baguio Craft Brewery on the left and Kevin Khoe of Casa Marcos on the right. Their booze and grub form a perfect pair for a cervezeria, a place for people to enjoy good food and good beer.

It’s a match made in heaven, and will be the country’s first “cervezeria concept that offers distinction amidst the many gastropubs in the city,” says Kevin Khoe, a partner of Casa Marcos.

The partnership makes a lot of sense, as both Baguio Craft Brewery and Casa Marcos put a lot of effort into doing what they do best: craft beers for Baguio Craft and Filipino food for Casa Marcos.

THREE OF THE BEST. All were good, but these three are what we got our hands on last Wednesday night: Kabunyan (Php 230) plus Gambas Aligue (bottom, 375) or Classic Gambas (top, Php 320),

Englishman in New York (Php 240) plus Callos (Php 450),

and the winner pair that night: Pugaw (Php 240) plus Lengua Salpicao (Php 350).

“Baguio Craft Brewery prides itself with passion in its beers, while Casa Marcos is just as passionate about their food. Like every beer we have crafted, each dish at Casa Marcos is a masterpiece in itself” says Christopher Ordas, owner of Baguio Craft Brewery.

Those in attendance witnessed this first-hand with beer and food pairings that were launched last Wednesday, September 27.

Philandering Pauper (Php 250) + Chorizo Cheese Platter (Php 495)

Hop Attack (Php 250) + Almejas (Php 195)

Message in a Bottle (Php 240) plus Paella Negra (Php 470 for small, Php 845 for large)

Casa Marcos is at 2/F, Il Terrazzo, 305 Tomas Morato cor. Sct. Madriñan, Quezon City. They’re open from Mondays to Fridays, 12 noon to 2:30 pm & 6 pm to 11:30 pm; and Saturdays to Sundays, 11 am to 2 pm & 6 pm to 10:30 pm. Follow Casa Marcos on Facebook (Casa Marcos) and Instagram (@casamarcos) for more information. Visit casamarcos.ph to see their On Tap food pairing menu.
