  • With a 76% trust rating, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is still the most trusted government official, according to the latest Pulse Asia survey.

    PRESIDENT DUTERTE. The most trusted government official in Philippines, based in Pulse Asia’s latest survey.

    Public opinion polling body Pulse Asia recently released its findings on the “Performance and Trust Ratings of the Top Five Philippine Government Officials from the March 2017 Ulat ng Bayan national survey.

    Using face-to-face interviews, the survey was conducted from March 15 to 20, 2017, where it listed President Rodrigo Duterte (78%), Vice President Leni Robredo (58%), and Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III (55%) as the three leading government officials with the highest approval ratings.

    DATA FROM PULSE ASIA. The table shows the awareness and performance ratings of top national officials in the Philippines, in a survey conducted from March 15 to 20, 2017.

    According to the survey, the performance ratings of these top government officials remained basically the same during the December 2016 to March 2017 period. In March 2017 Duterte scored majority approval ratings in all geographic areas and socio-economic groups, from 71% to 88% and 77% to 86% respectively. This nationwide survey is based on a sample of 1,200 representative adults aged 18 years old and above.
