  • WATCH: 100 Years of Beauty in the Philippines
  • In just a minute and a half, you’re off to see how Filipina beauty in the Philippines evolved over the years.

For its sixth installment, Cut Video featured Philippines in their 100 Years of Beauty video series. The company, which makes “spreadable digital content,” is popular for their internet-breaking projects such as “Truth or Drink.” Former Filipina singer April Villanueva was the chosen model for the video, where she was transformed through her hair and makeup to look how women in the Philippines looked from the early 1900s up to the present.

Here are some of the looks where the video was inspired from:

1910s: No make-up, tribal tattoo, naturally straight hair

1960s: Bouffant hair a la Imelda Marcos

2010s: Red lips, beachy waves, and natural makeup

Which among the looks was your favorite? Watch more of WatchCUT’s videos here.
