The event will also be a good platform for visitors and exhibitors to network, negotiate, showcase their services, and do business with each other.
Aside from DOT officials headed by Secretary Wanda Teo, Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Luis Villafuerte will also be attending the event. Villafuerte was said to be the one to man the Camsur Water Sports Complex’ booth to encourage visitors to try and experience what his province has to offer when it comes to natural and manmade wonders.
According to Teo, 5 of the 28 Filipino exhibitors attending this year are ITB first timers. 14 of these are tour operators, and the other 14 are composed of hotels and resorts. She said that this is an indication of the increase of the European who visits and arrives in the Philippines to travel. This was proven from the date which showed that European market showed top rate in tourism arrivals in the country.
“The Philippines is especially attractive to the European markets because of its multi-destination, multi-product offerings that are unique from other Asian destinations, made even more fun with the warm and genuine spirit of the Filipino people,” Philippine Tourism Attache for Central Eastern Europe Margarita Patricia Valdes said.
