  • An oyster-riffic Valentine’s at Saboten: Jumbo Hiroshima Oyster
  • Everyone’s used to having their oysters either boiled or baked with cheese. It’s always served in its shell on a bed of salt crystals. It’s delicious, to say the least, but there really should be another way of eating oysters…

Enter Saboten and their newest item: deep-fried jumbo Hiroshima oysters.

    oyster

BIG, BOLD, AND DELICIOUS. Deep-fried jumbo Hiroshima Oysters, only at Saboten.

Yes, you read that right. Saboten just launched their latest creation: a serving of #katsufied jumbo Hiroshima oysters. These large (and we mean LARGE) oysters are taken straight out of the waters off Hiroshima and flown straight to the Philippines.

Once here, they are met by the wonderful chefs at Saboten, where they get covered in breading and deep-fried to a golden brown.

Jumbo Hiroshima oysters are the perfect Valentine’s meal thanks to its smooth taste. Deep frying the oyster also removes the aftertaste; it’s something that people have struggled to contain, thus having to resort to baking the oysters with cheese.

    flatlay

FULL SET. One oyster may not be enough, which is why we recommend getting the oyster sharing set, which includes two oysters, jumbo shrimp, one loin cutlet, and one rolled cutlet, filled with either cheese, asparagus, or plum.

Saboten’s deep-fried jumbo Hiroshima oysters are available at their Serendra and Glorietta 5 branches for only P250, which includes a glass of Gekkeikan sake. You can also get their oyster sharing set that’s good for two for only P1,575, complete with a carafe of Gekkeikan sake!

    matcha latte

SMOOTH AND SILKY. This delicious matcha latte will hit both branches of Saboten soon!

After you down those delicious oysters, why not get a glass of their latest creation: matcha latte! For only P195, enjoy a hot or cold glass of smooth latte with the taste of green tea! No word yet on when this will be launched, but when it does, you can bet Primer will be there.
