  • Best of All, It’s in Hong Kong: HK Tourism Board launches new global campaign
  • The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) just gave us more reasons to visit the bustling metropolis of Hong Kong as they launched their latest global brand campaign yesterday at the Ascott Hotel in Bonifacio Global City.

People got a taste of what it would be like if Hong Kong cuisine were given a Filipino touch yesterday at the press launch of HKTB’s “Best of All, It’s in Hong Kong” campaign.

“As we launch our new global brand campaign, ‘Best of All, It’s in Hong Kong’, we hope to highlight four diverse areas of interest: Gourmet Dining, Fashion and Entertainment, Family Adventures by land, sea, and sky, and the Great Outdoors,” said Becky Ip, Deputy Executive Director for HTKB.

Shown during the press launch were four new commercials highlighting each of the new campaign’s driving forces as told by its locals: Michelin 3-star chef Umberto Bombana (dining), movie stars Michael Wong (family adventures) and Sean Lau (HK’s outdoors), and fashion designer Anais Jourdain Mak (fashion and entertainment).

One of the more interesting facts about Hong Kong that most people failed to notice is the presence of greenery just outside the city. Locals love going for a hike to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and the city does not disappoint, with nature parks and trails no more than an hour and thirty minutes away from the city.

As a melting pot of cultures, it’s not hard to find inspiration for your next creative venture in Hong Kong. Its streets are filled with the latest global trends, including the recently-discovered hipster’s paradise of Sheung Huan.

Filipinos, however, will always treasure Hong Kong for its shopping, dining, and family-friendly options. The HKTB looks at the Philippines as one of its priority markets, especially after a double-digit growth in total and overnight arrivals last year.
