One of the issues that the netizens face today is the amount of hate and bullying they receive for merely voicing out their opinions. While there were some who accepts the thoughts of others and expresses their own, there were also some who would rather use personal attacks and harrass the opposing party.
This had spurred people to start a new movement that would help and defend users who were cyberbullied, and to make the internet a “bully-free zone.”
Silent No More is a campaign that encourages people to step-up against online trolls and bullies. Netizens may now report their cases and receive free services from lawyers who volunteered and supported the campaign’s advocacy.
To file a case, users just have to follow this process:
- Screenshots of the abusive comments/post.
- Screenshot of the profile info with picture.
- User’s contact information.
They will then be connected to a lawyer who would help them with their report. The page also assures people that the information and details they would be sharing will be kept strictly confidential.
