First released in December 2015, the game has appeared in numerous gaming and pop culture websites such as Tokyo Otaku Mode, IGN, and Siliconera, it’s a collecting game that draws inspiration from anime series such as Ouran High School Host Club.

The collecting game appeals to the often overlooked Japanese Anime and Otome game fan, with over 100,000 active users in the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. It keeps users glued to the game thanks to monthly events and unique features that separate it from predecessors such as Neko Atsume, a cat-collecting game that started the rise of the Otome game genre.

They have also successfully expanded into merchandising, “accommodating the needs of its fan base for tangible products rooted in the game’s characters and stories,” according to an article from Yahoo! Finance. It’s estimated to reach the one-million organic download mark by the end of the year thanks to its expanding fan base.

You can get Notice Me Senpai! for free from the App Store and Google Play.
