With the total cost of P287 million, the expansion added eight lanes from 26 lanes to 34 lanes composed of four manual lanes, two Easytrip lanes and two mixed lanes. According to MNTC president and CEO Rodrigo E. Franco, “the expanded toll plaza assures that motorists will continue to experience speedy toll transactions at the NLEX especially during peak hours,”

Meanwhile, in a report published by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, MNTC and Tollways Management Corp., its operating arm, is re-launching the “Safe Trip Mo, Sagot Ko 2016,” to ensure motorists follow the 100 kilometer per hour speed limit on NLEx by adding toll booth employees and deploying more personnel.

The MNTC advised that starting October 29, 2016 in the afternoon until late evening of November 1, 2016, the Bocaue Toll Plaza will open 45 toll collection points including the new eight-lane toll plaza. By November 2 and 3, Bocaue will have 34 collection points in operation.
