Japanese department store brand Isetan Mitsukoshi eyes opening a store in PH
Department store operator Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd. is eyeing on opening a store in the Philippines, as per the sources of news website The Japan Times.

According to the article, the said company is having discussions of developing a “department store-style facility with residential housing in a suburb of Manila.” The project will be in partnership with Nomura Real Estate Development Co.
The source also said that the company aims to tap Asia and it plans to open outlets at the facility around 2022. If this pushes through, the brand would be the first Japanese department store operator to expand in the Philippines.
As reported by Manila Times, the project is slated for partial opening in 2022 and would finalize plans by Spring 2017. The said company is also seeking a Philippine partner to carry out the project.
