HOPING FOR THE BEST. John Rice continues the roll of thanks, as well as teasing the media with plans for the hotel’s grand opening later this year.

According to Communications Executive for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts Benjamin Arnold, they plan to have their grand opening sometime between April and June this year, but guests can stay in the hotel as early as 3 p.m. today.

“We have at least 100 rooms ready for occupancy as of right now, and we are aiming at having all 576 rooms ready by April,” he added.

Guests at the Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila also have the option of staying at Shangri-La Residences, the property’s answer to those who have/want to stay for longer periods. “The Residences is similar to a condominium, with units being rented out by Shangri-La to guests who want to stay for at least 2 weeks,” Arnold said. He added that those staying at The Residences can still avail of all the amenities enjoyed by guests at the Shangri-La Hotel at the Fort, Manila.

Horizon Homes, on the other hand, is the hotel’s answer to those who want to have their own space at Shangri-la at the Fort. Arnold had this to say about Horizon Homes: “These units, located at the top floors of the property, can be owned by anyone. They are blank slates where the unit owners can do whatever they wish.”

Apart from living spaces, the hotel also has a total of 15 restaurants, seven of which are managed by Shangri-La directly. They also have the Podium Arcade, which will house the rest of the dining options, along with shopping outlets.

Room rates at the Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila go for an average of P12,000 per night; a steal when you consider the kind of luxury you’ll experience at Shangri-La.

Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila is located at 30th St. cor. 5th Ave., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. For reservations, you can visit their website or call 02-841-9686.
