  • All-Day Brunch at Le Jardin
  • The garden-themed restaurant—Le Jardin, located at a penthouse in Bonifacio Global City inscribes a new category in their menu—an All-Day Brunch served as early as 7:30 am.

Imagine starting your day sitting down in Le Jardin at 8 in the morning while those eyes are still half asleep, then suddenly—an aromatic scent invades your senses by surprise, your eyes starts to widen, and a smile emerges from those sleepy cheeks as the brunch is placed on your table—it’s literally a good morning!

The brunch experience at Le Jardin is new and refreshing. I urge you to join me as I describe you my Le Jardin brunch experience which might inspire a visit, or perhaps a re-visit for brunch.

There’s a good number of selections from their brunch menu, but let me highlight my favorites.

Saumon Royale (P420) House-smoked salmon, duo of organic scrambled and poached egg, arugula, red radish, hollandaise sauce on our signature brioche bread

I’m not a fan of fish, but I follow Andrew Zimmern’s philosophy “if it looks good, eat it!” and that’s exactly how I reacted when the Saumon Royale stumbled on my table. I immediately grabbed my knife and fork, took a slice, and the rest was history.

The house-smoked salmon was luscious which was complimented by one key ingredient: EGG! The rich buttery hollandaise sauce (a mother sauce in the French haute cuisine), the organic scrambled egg, and poached egg, these three ingredients were the key factor that made this experience amazing, and of course the arugula that makes wonders for any dish.

Leek Fondue Burger (P350) Chargrilled premium beef cheek, garlic aioli, leek fondue, micro greens on signature brioche bun with crispy string potatoes

I wasn’t sure myself how a beef “cheek” would taste like, but anything prepared “chargrilled” is always good especially when you’re talking about burgers! But more importantly, I didn’t imagine leeks could be so good! The leek fondue (fondue de poireaux) was fantastic; it enhances the already-good patty as the flavors of the fondue slowly fuse with the beef cheek.

And if you’re wondering how to attack this burger, Chef Jonas Ng advises to eat it the French way, which simply means “eat it at the most comfortable way.” No need to be pressured to use a fancy knife and fork if you want to grab it with your bare hands, it’s totally acceptable. The French cuisine experience is all about comfort, just enjoy the good food and all is good, and I definitely enjoyed this one!

Forest Truffle Chicken (P600) Braised chicken in red wine with creamy mashed potatoes, French beans, and black truffles

Délicieux. Délicieux. Délicieux. I’m lost for words on how to describe this dish, but let me try my best—the fragrance of the Forest Truffle Chicken echoes the allure of the French cuisine. It’s all about the smell when one speaks of truffles, and that’s exactly the appeal that this dish radiates.

The sauce is the highlight of the dish which enhances the flavor of the mashed potato and the tender chicken. I couldn’t stop dipping the chicken to the sauce which had an intense and pungent fragrance to the point that I even savored the sauce alone.

I ended my Le Jardin brunch experience with Chef Hasset Go’s delicious Lemon cheesecake, it was gone after a few minutes.

Think of this as a teaser to the Le Jardin brunch experience. There’s still a lot that they have to offer. The French cuisine experience has known no bounds over the course of time. It can only improve and get better.

Good news is, Le Jardin is now open seven days a week. You may explore and plan ahead your brunch meal by checking out their menu at Le Jardin Manila.

Enjoy a hearty meal before going to work, or bring your co-workers for a lunch meeting, or an afternoon brunch snack, whatever the reason may be, you’ll definitely have a good time.
