BAILA, BAILA, BAILA with FUSE: A Review
Smiles, smiles and more smiles.
The moment we entered the Folk Arts theater, we were greeted by pearly whites. Everybody was so happy, from the helpful organizers to the pleasant sponsors and purveyors. What really caught our attention, though, was this bunch of giddy early birds in their stylish – and manually! – deconstructed marathon shirts and colorful Zumba pants! (Their creativity was rewarded later that evening when awards were given out for the most creative tees of the night.) While waiting for the event to start, pictures were being taken left and right. Everyone was in such a positive mood!
EAGER BEAVERS. At as early as 5:00 PM, enthusiasts (with their deconstructed marathon tees, mind you) prep up and wait by taking group selfies!
UP IN THE AIR! The participants enthusiastically follow Slimmers World International during the first segment of the night.
A little after 6PM, the sea of pink, purple, green and yellow started to move in unison to the familiar beats of the reggaeton, samba, salsa, merengue, hip-hop and swing. Fuse lived up to its promise by having the finest Zumba instructors from here and abroad onstage that night. We particularly enjoyed the segments headed by dance team Z Batanggenos, celebrity dancer Joshua Zamora and G-Force member Ray-an Manglo. The participants felt even more energized when Regine Tolentino stepped onstage. And kudos to the two beautiful belly dancing ladies, Reign Naz and Jennie Lou, who brought something refreshing onstage after more than an hour of grueling, high-impact dance exercises!

The two-hour marathon ended as positively as it started. (Special thanks to Pocari Sweat for helping us keep going!) Everybody was buzzing with energy despite feeling tired. Congratulations to 4.0 Events Management for such a fun and well-organized event! It was the perfect way to help raise funds: by having so much fun without realizing that you are actually doing something for a cause.
An ultimate dance party!
Special awards were also given to the oldest marathoner, the freshest face, the best dancer and many more, but all went home winners that night. And, no, I am not just talking about the goodie bags.
