  • Apple finally reveals the biggest advancement in the history of iPhone – the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

    The new models are significantly bigger and thinner than iPhones 5 & 5s. The iPhone 6 has a larger 4.7” screen size and a 6.9 mm frame size, making it the slimmest handset Apple has ever made. The iPhone 6 Plus, however, has a much larger screen size of 5.5″ and frame size of 7.1″.

    Apple fans can expect a better and higher screen resolution with the Retina HD Display, the most advanced iPhone display that delivers brilliant colour and most advanced Multi-Touch experience. The screen is protected by ion-strengthened glass.

    We can also look forward for a more powerful and efficient iPhones with better performance and longer battery life because of the powerful Apple-designed A8 Chip. iPhone 6 Plus can standby up to 16 days.

    Another improvement that Apple has reported is the camera features for better photo and video taking. It highlights the 8-megapixel iSight camera for a greater and faster focus. The iPhone 6 Plus also features optical image stabilisation. The new camera can also shoot 1080-p HD video at 60 frames per second and super slow motion video at 240 frames per second.

    The new iPhones will also become the flagship of upcoming iOS 8 which will deliver a simpler, faster and more intuitive user experience and new features.

    For some reason, Apple drops the 32 GB capacity for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Here is the capacity and price:

    Apple never fails to excite and surprise its consumers. Both devices will officially launch on Sept 19 in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and the UK with pre-orders starting on Sept 12.

    Apple has yet to announce its launch date in the Philippines.

    Apple also unveiled its first ever smart watch, the Apple Watch. It is a beautifully designed mechanical wrist watch that, according to Apple, is their most personal device. This revolutionary new technology can sense when the wrist is raised and then activate the display. It allows the user to send & receive messages and even answer phone calls. Using the new Apple-designed navigation tool called Digital Crown, the watch will let you zoom, navigate and scroll into apps.

    Apple will release three designs – the Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sports, and Apple Watch Edition. All of these will be available in early 2015 starting at SRP of $349 (US). Apple Watch will be compatible with iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
